The position will involve the running of routine, molecular biology-based assays in the Quality Control department. The role involves testing of product before released for sale by following standardizes procedures to ensure quality of new product. The role is predominately laboratory based with potentially significant amount of routine paperwork, such as report writing and archiving.
Occasionally there might be some work not directly linked to product Quality Control such as stock organization, archiving of samples, special testing, supporting the validation team in performing validations as required.
The successful candidate will work as part of the QA/RA team with full responsibility of MLS Molecular validation program, includingvalidation of processes, analytical assays for new Meridian products, improving existing methods, developing new assays for legacyproducts, validating equipment and software, examination/assessment of product stability, troubleshooting and undertakingprojects in conjunction with other departments, in the first instance R&D, production and operations. Part of the role will involve support of the QCdepartment during busy times. The role is laboratory based with significant amount of paperwork.
